Several years ago I was able to visit Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. I was there in the summer time, and it was absolutely beautiful. Now it’s beautiful for another reason. The Chronicle Herald is reporing that Nova Scotia will pay for bilateral Cochlear Implants (they previously only paid for one). Even adults can qualify for the program, although children are most common, according to the Herald.
The article indicated that one couple will be reimbursed the $41,000 dollars that they spent getting a second implant for their daughter in Dallas this summer. Being from Dallas, (and having a daughter with a cochlear implant, I can tell you that we have some of the finest cochlear implant professionals here.
